We are a friendly and dedicated GP practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare for our local community. Our team works together to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care and support patients to access the right help, at the right time, from the right healthcare professional.

We aim to make accessing care as simple as possible and offer a range of services to support the health and wellbeing of our patients. Alongside GP services, our wider team includes nurses, pharmacists, healthcare assistants and administrative staff who all play an important role in your care.

Named Accountable GP

All patients registered at Hugglescote Surgery are allocated a named, accountable GP who is responsible for overseeing their overall care and support within the practice.

Your named GP takes responsibility for the coordination of your care and ensuring that appropriate services are available to meet your health needs. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP or clinician within the practice and you may continue to book appointments with the healthcare professional most appropriate for your needs.

Mental Health Practitioner

Mental health and wellbeing practitioners provide wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions and coordinate care plans for adults with severe mental health problems.

Paramedic

A paramedic in primary care can recognise and manage the deteriorating patient and can manage patients with long term conditions, minor injuries, and minor illness. They can also support patients who require wound care, have fallen, have MSK problems, and have urinary tract or respiratory infections. Paramedics can supply a range of medicines including antibiotics and analgesics.
