Doctors

Doctors that work in general practice are know as General Practitioners, or GPs for short. We have various types of GPs from trainee GPs through to GP Partners.

GP Partners

GP Partners are primarily fully qualified GPs so they care directly for patients. However, they also work closely with the Practice Manager (who is also a Partner) and are responsible for the strategic direction of the practice.

GPs

GPs are fully qualified, registered doctors that have completed their specialist training in General Practice. They care directly for patients and work closely with other members of clinical staff.

GP Registrars

GPs registrars are fully qualified, registered doctors that are training to specialise in General Practice. It takes 3 years for a registrar to complete their GP training, and they may only spend a short period of this at Hugglescote Surgery.
