Blood Tests

At Hugglescote Surgery, our nurse team are responsible for providing blood tests for patients. If you have been asked by a GP or other clinician to have a test done, please book an appointment with one of our nurse team. Please note however, they can only carry out blood tests for patients aged 12 or over.

Blood Tests for Children under 12

If you have been asked by a GP (or other clinician) to book a blood test for a child under the age of 12, you will need to visit a different location as we cannot provide this service at the surgery. Your GP will advise you of this at the time, and will provide you with the following:

* a form (pre-filled with your child’s details, requesting the necessary blood tests)
* the phone number of the local paediatric phlebotomy service

Simply ring the number to book an appointment. Don’t forget to take the form along with you.
