Information about this event
The aim of this event is to provide people with informationabout steps people can take to improve their brain health as well as connect people to local services who provide a wide range of support.
Who is this event for
• People who are worried about their memory
• People waiting to be assessed by the Memory Assessment Service
• People living with Mild Cognitive Impairment
• People living with Dementia
• People supporting others with a memory problem
Event Timings
10.30am – Event begins and refreshments served
11.00am – Talks from people living with memory difficulties sharing strategies on how they have maintained their independence and are living better.
11.30am – JD Hylton, Neurophysiotherapist will provide a workshop demonstrating the link between physical activity and maintaining brain function.
12.00pm – Your opportunity to speak to different organisations and find out about all the support available.
1.00pm – Leicester Musical Memory Box will show us how music can benefit memory and well being.
1.30pm – Age UK’s Memory Advice & Dementia Support Service will provide an overview of small changes people can make to their lives to preserve brain health
2.15pm – Event closes
