A new service is being launched on 6 July 2026 for the Armed Forces Community across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR). The LLR Armed Forces Navigation Hub will be delivered by Loughborough Wellbeing Centre and it replaces the existing Op Community service (provided by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust).
Loughborough Wellbeing Centre has a strong track record of working with veterans, and will now be extending their support to the wider Armed Forces Community.
The Navigation Hub is available to Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland veterans, reservists, serving personnel and their families and it will provide:
The new service will build on the strengths of OpCommunity, while expanding to provide a greater focus on early intervention and prevention, stronger community outreach and enhanced partnership working across health, wellbeing, and care services.
Helen Carter, CEO of Loughborough Wellbeing Centre, said: “Building on the strong foundation of our established Veterans Wellbeing Hub, we are now expanding our offer to support the wider Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, reservists, families, and cadets, through the new LLR Armed Forces Community Navigation Hub. This development will make it easier for people to understand and access the support available to them, provide inclusive activities and additional drop ins across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, and strengthen partnership working with health services and local authorities as part of their Armed Forces Covenant duties, to ensure that no one is disadvantaged”.
