Appointments

Emergency Appointments

If you have an urgent medical problem, then please phone the practice on 01530 832109. Our Reception Team will ask what the problem is and then book an urgent telephone triage appointment with the On-Call GP. If during this appointment the doctor feels a face-to-face consultation is required, they will book you in for a face-to-face visit on the same day.

Due to the nature of these appointments, please note that they may not always run to time.

Routine Appointments

Book a routine appointment

Routine appointments can be booked through Reception or online using the button above. You can pre-book appointments with GPs and Nurses up to 6 weeks in advance.

If you are booking an appointment via Reception, please be aware that the team will ask you to describe your symptoms so they can direct you to the most appropriate member of the Healthcare Team.

Routine Appointments with a GP

Following COVID-19, ALL appointments with GPs are initially held over the telephone and are given a 10 minute time slot. If the doctor feels a face-to-face consultation is required, they will ask you to book in for a face-to-face, follow-up appointment.

Routine Appointments with the Nurse Team

All appointments booked with the Nurse Team are held as face-to-face consultations. This is because the services that the Nurse Team provide tend to require physical contact.

Cancelling Appointments

If you cannot keep an appointment, please let the Reception Team know as soon as possible so that they can offer the appointment to someone else. We would much rather re-book your appointment than it be wasted by you simply not showing up.

Home Visits

If you are too unwell to come to the surgery or are housebound, you can request a Home Visit via Reception before 10.30am. The GPs will expect, where possible, the patient to attend the surgery. They usually do not visit children at home, but are very happy to fit them in to their surgeries as an emergency where necessary. The Receptionist will ask you questions to ensure that you are directed to the most appropriate Healthcare Professional. The GP or Nurse may also telephone you first to discuss your needs. They will then decide if a visit is the best way to help you. Please note that we will need to speak directly to the patient where possible.
